The Hotel Panel of one of the biggest Accountancy Firms in the UK appointed Lester Hotels to run this country house hotel with large function facilities whilst in administration. Lester Hotels assisted the administrators in the day to day running of the hotel, sales and marketing to enhance business levels, cost control measures, team motivation, and local PR including dealing with creditors.

Lester Hotels assisted with all viewings of prospective purchasers and were appointed by the new owners to carry on running the property. Since the purchase of the hotel by the new owners, Lester Hotels have identified additional sources of income, have recommended and overseen the creation of additional bedrooms (in previously unutilised areas), and also the utilisation and project management of refurbishment works.

In addition Lester Hotels have embraced social media for the hotel as well as the PR necessary to rehabilitate the image of the hotel within the important local community.

Upon taking over the running of this town centre commercial hotel Lester Hotels produced a proposed refurbishment programme, appointed contractors, oversaw the works and came in under budget and on time.

Lester Hotels, unlike most of its competitors is not tied to a brand.....if the hotel would benefit from not being branded, it is not necessary to brand it. In the case of this hotel, Lester Hotels removed the brand and the accompanying brand fees and override commissions, greatly boosting profits and ROI.

When Lester Hotels advised the owner to sell due to a large number of new hotels due to open in the town with a risk of oversupply, we advised the owner in plenty of time to exit. The owner had high expectations of the value of the property which were not matched by 3 of the top hotel valuation agencies. Lester Hotels by advised the owner to split the bricks and mortar and the business and sell them separate, through negotiations Lester Hotels carried out on the owners behalf. The result being a higher price than the owner had wanted and considerably more than the 3 top agencies had valued the hotel originally.

Lester Hotels were appointed by the administrators of a chain of hotels to audit the hotels and then interrogate the numbers the existing management team had produced for the bank. We undertook this work and consequently produced realistic figures for the bank which were accepted and allowed the administrators to carry on trading the business until purchasers could be found.

PROTECTING AND GROWING YOUR INVESTMENT.

When an existing hotel owner moved into limited service hotels with the purchase of a 60 bedroom hotel, Lester Hotels were appointed not only to run the hotel but to advise on a strategy in the short and medium term. Lester Hotels advised the owner to extend the hotel, and took care of every aspect from dealing with planning applications, selection of contractors to project managing the development which doubled the size of the hotel. The project came in under budget and on time.

Following the demise of a major hotel chain, Lester Hotels was asked advice on the future of one of the properties that the chain had rented by the overseas owners. Lester Hotels produced a hard hitting report recommending future investment to bring the property back up to the level required along with essential Health and Safety works. The owners backed Lester Hotels and a major refurbishment programme was put together by Lester Hotels who oversaw the transformation of the property.
